Details: Nestled in the highlands of Honduras, the Cerro Azul region is known for its lush mountains, cool temperatures, and rich volcanic soils—perfect conditions for coffee cultivation. Frequent mist and steady rainfall create a slow maturation process, allowing cherries to develop layered sweetness and balanced acidity. Coffee has been part of this area’s culture for generations, providing both a livelihood and a point of pride for local farming families. This coffee is produced by COMSA, a cooperative made up of smallholder farmers dedicated to quality and sustainability. COHORSIL provides training, technical assistance, and shared facilities, which empower producers to improve yields while caring for the land. The cooperative invests in social programs that support education and reforestation, reinforcing coffee’s role as a force for community growth.
